Take the Redline Subway to Harvard Square Station. When you get off the train, take the Church Street/Harvard Yard exit rather than the main Harvard Square exit (take the stairs/escalator rather than the ramp). When exit the turnstiles, take a left up the stairs to Harvard Yard (follow the signs).

Parking is available at the Harvard Square Parking Garage (car entrance is near 18 Eliot Street, pedestrian entrance at 64 JFK Street).

After you park your car, the pedestrian exit takes your to 64 JFK Street. Staying side of the street of the parking garage and walk north (go uphill). Pass the park and Peet’s Coffee on your left. (If you see the Charles River, you’ve gone the wrong direction). Cross Mt. Auburn Street. Pass the Travel Agency, CVS, and Urban Outfitters on your left.

After one block, you’ll come across a busy intersection. Cross the street in the same direction you were traveling (towards Tory Row and the Crimson Corner Newsstand). Keeping the Crimson Corner Newsstand to your left, walk around the corner and pass the Harvard COOP, Bank of America, another CVS, etc. Continue walking in this direction.

Cross Church Street towards First Parish Unitarian. After crossing, take a sharp right to cross the island with the statue. Walk all the way towards and through Johnston Gate to enter Harvard Yard.

There is a guard house to your left if you ever get lost. Keeping Harvard Hall to your left and Massachusetts Hall to your right, continue down the main path towards the John Harvard statue. It is directly visible across the yard from where you enter through the gate. (Names of most Yard buildings are written above their green doors).

Once at the statue, take a left, keeping Thayer Hall to your right and walk towards the Science Center. Walk through the small gates, enter the Science Center Plaza, and you will find the Science Center immediately in front of you.
